Claire's Party!

Hi all! It has been way too long since I've posted last...I'm sorry! I've gone through a job change, which has been great, although it's kept me very busy with not a lot of time for stamping! Add to that - my wonderful sister in law is getting married in July, so there's lots of planning and stamping to do for her upcoming wedding!

Anyways, my friend Claire will be hosting a SU party on 2/27 and I'm so excited to stamp with the girls again! Here's a quick preview of an Easter card we'll be making...thanks for looking!

I've been out enjoying the too short New England summer, with no time for blogging! Here are a couple of the projects we'll be making at this month's Stamp Club...still working on one more. Can't wait to see you all!

Stamp Club projects!

I did a lot of stamping/prepping this week to get ready for a workshop on Saturday and Stamp Club on Monday! I'm leaving right from work tomorrow (hopefully a bit early!) to have a girl's weekend with my college roommates. Can't wait!

B is for lots of things!

Hi all, happy Saturday! I did a workshop last night that was super fun, great girls and lots of laughs. I got some great feedback on a card I demo'd using the Just B set, so I wanted to share with everyone! The Just B set is a great set for someone just starting out (we had a "stamping virgin" at the party last night!) because it can be used for so many things. One stamper last night made a baby card, using the "is for Baby" sentiment, and then used "giggle" from Warm Words on the tag. It was so cute, I love seeing what people come up with at workshops!

Sketch and Color challenge

Two great challenges can be found at Stamp Something and Truly Scrumptious! I decided to take on both with one card, which I'm then going to give to my friend Ami this weekend at her baby shower! (Crossing stuff off my to-do list rocks!) The Stamp Something challenge was to use blue, green and yellow (spring colors!). The Truly Scrumptious challenge was a sketch challenge, but it also had to be a card for a child.
I used my favorite SU! DP, which is from the Sale-A-Bration. This paper is perfect for a baby card. I also got to use my new texture plates with the Big Shot, which was very fun and I forsee a lot more texturing in my future. Ami's baby room is going to be a jungle theme which worked perfectly with my favorite little giraffe from Animal Crackers.
